Trent Stanley, CFP, PFP, CFSB

Financial Planner  

TrentTrent has been in the financial services for over 20 years. He thoroughly enjoys working as a financial planner because it allows him to integrate his love of numbers and finance with helping families reach their financial goals.

After working for an Investment Advisor in Toronto, he moved to the Listowel area to work and raise his family in the rural area he had grown up in. He has been part of the Oak Tree organization for over 19 years and has just recently purchased it to become the owner and CEO.


Trent is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP™), so you can be sure that he provides expert and professional financial planning services. To earn the CFP™ designation, Trent had to complete an approved educational program, pass a rigorous examination and meet stringent experience requirements. Trent also adheres to a professional Code of Ethics and he fulfills annual continuing education requirements to remain aware of current planning strategies and financial trends.

He has also completed his Personal Financial Planning course and is a Chartered Financial Services Broker.

Community Involvement

When not at work, Trent is an active member of his local church and can be found playing the piano, teaching a Sunday School class or helping out with the church finance and missions teams. He also has a keen interest in politics and is proud to have served as the local president of a federal political party.

Trent lives in Listowel with wife Cheryl and four children (Connor, Courtney, Ainsley & Tyler) where he enjoys participating in his children’s activities including hockey and music, as well as spending time working in his yard. He also enjoys travelling and going on vacation with his family.

RonRon Willis CLU CFSB

Ron Willis started in the Financial Services industry in 1975 with Dominion Life (now Manulife) as a Life Insurance Agent. In 1986 he became licensed to sell Mutual funds and opened his own office. He and his wife Donna founded Oak Tree Financial Services in 2004 and recently transferred ownership to Trent Stanley.

Ron has achieved his CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter -1983) and CFSB (Chartered Financial Services Broker – 1994) designations and in 1999 successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course.

When not at work, you will often find Ron at local sporting events cheering on his grandchildren or relaxing at the family cottage in Point Clark.






Mary EllenMary Ellen Wooddisse EPC, Financial Consultant

Mary Ellen started as a financial advisor in 1987 and has been part of our team since 1991. As part of the Financial Consultant team she works with our clients, assisting them in meeting their financial and retirement goals.   She holds her Mutual Fund and Branch Manager’s Licenses and completed her Elder Planning Counselor designation in 2010.

On the weekend, Mary Ellen enjoys spending time on her family farm with her children and grandchildren.








CherylCheryl Mann – Client Services and Compliance Manager Financial Consultant

Cheryl joined our office in 1993. In addition to advising clients she co-ordinates our client services and compliance teams. She holds her Mutual Fund, Life Insurance and Branch Manager’s Licenses and has completed the Elder Planning Counselor Designation.

Cheryl lives in Gorrie with her husband Mike and is the past-president of Big Brothers Big Sisters Listowel and District and is currently mentoring her fifth Little Sister.

RichelleRichelle Smith – Advisor Support Manager

Richelle joined our team in the fall of 2004. She currently assists the advisory team as well as managing the accounting department. Richelle graduated from Conestoga College with honors in General Business, as well as completing her Financial Services Underwriting Course and has successfully completed the Registered Deposit Agent Course (RDA).
She lives in Fordwich with her husband Ryan and daughter Aleah. She loves the outdoors and enjoys photography.









DebbieDebbie Claypole – Receptionist

Debbie joined our team in the fall of 2004 and is the warm voice you encounter when you phone or visit the office. She also is our GIC administration specialist.

A life-long resident of the North Perth area, she lives in Listowel with her husband Steve. She has three adult children and two grand-daughters enjoys spending summer weekends at their family trailer.

OTF Advisors works in our office as an associate advisory group and help out our office with reception and administrative duties.

I started my career in the financial services industry in 1997.  A graduate of Conestoga College, I have gone forward to obtain the above industry designations, specializing in the fields of financial planning, insurance and risk management and elder education.

About Me

I live with my husband, three children and our dog on the family farm in Ethel, Ontario.  My biggest passion is my family.  In the summer months enjoy coaching and playing baseball.  In the winter months, my spare time is spent at the local arena watching and cheering on the children.  I serve our local school, heading up the Environmental Learning Grounds Committee, as well as being an active member of our Parent Advisory Counsel.  For the last 9 years, l have been the pianist at our church.

Richard Jones has been working in the Financial Service industry in Mitchell since 1988. He opened his office as Regal Capital Planners then transitioned through mergers and acquisitions to Cartier Partners and is now part of PEAK Investments. He prides himself as being truly independent and is able to offer mutual funds and guaranteed investment certificates from over 100 different companies. The challenge is to assess the client’s needs and goals and then implement the plan to achieve success. It is never a straight forward path but needs to be continually assessed, tweaked and monitored for the changes on life’s highway.

Jim is a native of the Milverton area, having completed Secondary School in Milverton before continuing to the University of Waterloo. Upon graduation, he worked for the provincial government in Kitchener-Waterloo and Stratford, before joining Ron Willis’ office in 2001.He opened the Milverton Sub-Branch of Oak Tree Financial/PEAK Investment Services in 2005, and offers this companies independent financial goods and services in the Milverton area, holding licences in both mutual funds and life insurance.“In my view, investing and financial planning is not just about making money, but rather working towards things we would like to see happen, whether that’s providing for our children’s education, retiring comfortably, taking care of our parents, or making sure there is something to pass to future generations”.Jim is married and he and his wife are long time residents in this rural community, where they maintain many strong connections.
